Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: New. 94 pp., b/w photographs, soft covers, NEW, circa 2013. Hotel Zaatari is an artistic initiative raising awareness and directing funds towards the Syrian refugees in the Zaatari refugee camp located on the Jordanian/Syrian border. Proceeds from Hotel Zaatari prints sales go to fund programs on the ground in Zaatari camp through our associated organisation Save the Children International, helping to provide the refugees with basic needs. In 2014 the photographic artists Anthony Dawton and Jim McFarlane, and the art house filmmakers Mais Salman and Zaid Baqaeen, created moving and complex artworks including photography and film out of their time spent in the Zaatari camp. The result is a body of work built from the perceptions and point of view of the refugees who have fled and arrived at a place that both their bodies and their minds struggle to cope with. The conditions in the camp, and the refugees state of mind remains the same today. They need to be heard, seen and supported. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE CAMP. #36376.…

Condición: Very Good. 36 pp., English text, b/w & colour illustrations, publishers' stapled wrappers, very good condition, Exhibition in Qatar from 9 Nov - 3 Dec, 2011, Published in Qatar and the USA in 2011. In 2009, three international photographers with the support of Save the Children entered Gaza. For nearly two weeks the award winning photographers, Anthony Dawton, Jim McFarlane and Giuseppe Aquili photographed children and their families, victims of the Israeli incursion of 27 December 2008. The images are extraordinary. They tell of what happened and the damage done, physically and psychologically but they also tell of a people, particularly the children, bright, intelligent and full of hope. #36313.…

Soft cover. Condición: Good. 1st Edition. English text; Paperback; 19.2 x 24.3 cm; 0.323 Kg; 104 pages with illustrations.; Signs of wear in the front cover, namely edgewear, slight peeling on the bottom right of the front page and also wear mark on the top right of the front cover. Interior as new.; Catalogue from the exhibition in 2006 held at the Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies, London.; Selection and catalogue committees: Rose Kerr, Chair and Editor (formerly V&A Museum); Jessica Harrison-Hall (British Museum); Sheila Canby (British Museum); Stacey Pierson (Percival David Foundation); Scott Rosemary (Christie's), Anthony du Boulay (formerly Christie's); Phillip Allen (Collector) and Jean Martin.; The previous exhibition organised by the Oriental Ceramics Society in 2003, was devoted to the use of cobalt to paint designs on white porcelain wares that were then fired to a high temperature after the application of colourless glaze. This blue and white Chinese porcelain had a profound and lasting influence on ceramics made in Asia and Europe, but this new exhibition explores other methods of decorating ceramics had been used in China and elsewhere long before cobalt was introduced. The earliest ceramics in the exhibition date to the Tang dynasty (618-906), and the latest to the early decades of the 20th century when modern design schools had started to operate in China. Over 220 ceramic pieces from members of the Oriental Ceramic Society illustrate the 1,400 years between these two dates. Colourful Song, Ming and Qing dynasty wares are shown alongside vessels from Japan, Vietnam, the Middle East and Europe, to illustrate the immense impact China had on world ceramics.…
