A - with historical descriptions by the Revd. George Croly LL.D. It is 'strictly limited to 500 copies,' and, according to the publisher, 'a Valuable Collection item.' There are 28 plates in total; many whole-page. Please note that the construction of this book is slightly unusual in that the boards are the equivalent of a paper dust jacket i.e they are separate from the book block. Plus, the engraved illustrations are printed on almost card-like heavy paper. They are, however, held together by (the publisher's) adhesive tape. From plate 17 onwards, they have become separated from this tape binding. Condition (external): the boards are quite marked/tanned in places (main image).
