3/4 Leather. Condición: Good. Volume 3 ONLY. Originally published within a 3 volume set. 3/4 Red Leather Binding, Brown Morrocan Boards, Rebound. 354 pgs. Repairs evidenced through the red leather binding and various taped pages affixed to the inner binding. The red leather has damage/tears on the spine that are rusting. Pages are the original 1866 printing. Evidence that this is an Ex-Libris book through damage from a previous owner, where the front affixed endpage was torn from the head down and revealed a Massachussetts Public Library card affixed to the front board, stating policies for the return of the book. Any further information would damage the torn page more. Over all, finely bound, rebound, repaired. Good, Collectible.…

Condición: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Seiten: 293 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | This book reflects the move in Human Computer Interaction studies from standard usability concerns towards a wider set of problems to do with fun, enjoyment, aesthetics and the experience of use. Traditionally HCI has been concerned with work and task based applications but as digital technologies proliferate in the home fun becomes an important issue. There is an established body of knowledge and a range of techniques and methods for making products and interfaces usable, but far less is known about how to make them enjoyable. Perhaps in the future there will be a body of knowledge and a set of techniques for assessing the pleasure of interaction that will be as thorough as those that currently assess usability. This book is a first step towards that. It brings together a range of researchers from academia and industry to provide answers. Contributors include Alan Dix, Jacob Nielsen and Mary Beth Rosson as well as a number of other researchers from academia and industry. …

Thomas Wright (1810-1877) wrote prolifically as an antiquarian and archaeologist. Very Good copies. Gray leather with red tips and spine, ruled with six bands, filled with gilt. The name of the (presumed) owner who had them bound, is lettered in gilt on the front covers. Clean text; the pagination is continuous, with Volume One having 256 pages, while Volume Two continues to 592. There is no publication date, but per Copac and LoC, Quercus assigns them to 1854. These are truly large crown octavos (11"x8"x3" thick), and weighing over five pounds each. Obviously, shipping will be at exact cost. Quercus suggests that the lucky purchaser will possess the Victorian equivalent of a large-screen television. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Later Printing. Full-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
