In the present globalized context, speaking proficiency in English is an essential requisite for the engineering graduates apart from their technical, analytical and problem solving skills to meet the demands of the job market. They must also capitalize this credible tool of communication to be successful in their work place environment. In this regard this book provides a methodology to improve speaking proficiency using oral communication tasks (OCT). This research is a quasi-experimental study that seeks to investigate the effect of OCT on Indian engineering students to improve their oral proficiency. This book further highlights the significant role of pedagogical strategies in implementing the tasks to the learners.
