Sinopsis

This book is a contribution to development of a skilled cadre of educational Planning, Educational policy decision makers in Tanzania and Elsewhere. Thus, heads of educational agencies, inspectors of education may find this book useful as it can enhance their decision skills ability. Education is perceived as the engine of economic growth and social prosperity. However, the ideological shift of the 1980s towards the private sector and redefined roles of the state has caused growing inequality and educational problems associated with poverty. Much of this inequality can be attributed to the skewed allocation of resources within the educational sector. This book therefore will introduce educational policy makers, planners and students to issues, topics, institutions and policy responses to educational problems in Tanzania.
