This volume provides information on how the body responds to weight training; three comprehensive, goal-specific weight training programmes; and important information on bodybuilding nutrition and weight training safety. Part 1 of the book explains the basics of body science in layman's language. Part 2 provides weightlifting programmes for three different training goals: increased muscular strength and power, improved muscular endurance, or greater muscle mass. The book includes 125 photographs that show the correct technique for exercises that work every muscle group. In addition, there are sample programmes for each of the three training goals. Part 3 covers aspects of weight training that are vital such as basic nutritional information and how weight gain and loss can impact a training programme.
