Each volume is extensively referenced, illustrated and indexed. The articles relate the current state of our knowledge and areas of continuing advancement and will be updated in additional volumes every five years. It is aimed at libraries in all universities, relevant departments and other insitutions conducting research into vision, medical schools and relevant major industrial concerns such as pharmaceutical, optics and robotics companies.
