Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st Edition. First American Edition (Number Line to 1). This book was previously owned by the renowned sociologist Daniel Bell. He signed his name on the blank front end paper, and underneath wrote '1985'. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are very clean. The silver lettering on the spine is nicely bright. There is just a little bit of crinkling at the spine ends. The cover edges are in excellent shape, no rubbing. Same goes for the cover corners. The page edges look good. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. There is a slight bit of spotting or foxing on the blank front and rear end papers, none anywhere else in the book. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. I'm not finding any conspicuous creasing, no turned-down corners, no placeholder creases. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And Dr. Bell's signature represents the only writing to be found anywhere in the book. The dust jacket is a mixed bag. There's only light soiling. There are no edge tears. However, as you can see, there is a loss on the front cover and there is a piece of tape on the rear cover (oddly, because there is no tear there). The flaps are clean. There are no tears on them. There is a little crinkling around the front flap's top edge. The jacket is NOT priced-clipped, not clipped at all. I've always had it in a fitted protective cover.
