I was initially inspired to create Metascapes many years ago after spending time in Baja California where I experienced a deep sense of stillness and expansiveness. I have also lived near the ocean for 40 years, so certainly on one level Metascapes may be viewed as seascapes, though they are not, as I paint without reference to any viewed or photographed scene.
