The poems in this book were written during the years 1976 - 1980. Ms. Waldman has been responsible for arranging hundreds of poetry readings as director from 1968 to 1978 of the Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery. Since 1974, she has co-directed the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Prior to this collection, six books & numerous chapbooks of her poetry have been published.
