Staplebound printed wraps. Condición: Good +. First Edition. Two publications: One a program, 8vo., pp. 34; the other the Libretto for Der Fliegende Hollander, 8vo., pp. 35; 5. Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman" (Der Fliegende Hollander) is the production in both the program and the libretto. The program is loaded with sophisticated ads that reflect an opera-going society seemingly immune to the immediate effects of the Great Depression. Slight loss to lower gutter in the program, about the size of a nickel., not affecting text. The cover of the libretto is uniformly age-toned; interior quite fresh. Featuring Maria Jeritza as Senta, Marion Telva as Mary, Friedrich Schorr as The Dutchman, Walther Kirchhoff as Erik and Ivar Andresen as Daland. Symphony conducted by Artur Bodanzky. In the program the roster of board members is a Blue Book 100 of New York's wealthy families, loaded with names like Astor, Whitney, Marshall Fields, Cravath, Vanderbilt, et al. As if that who's-who isn't duly impressive, a list of box holders is printed, too. Now housed in an archival mylar sleeve with backing.
