En diciembre de 1945, unos campesinos árabes que buscaban "sebak" (abono de nitrato) para sus campos encontraron en un talud de Geb-el- Tarif, a cinco kilómetros de Nag Hammadi, en el medio Egipto, una gran ánfora cerrada y sellada con pez. Al romperla, aparecieron unas carpetas de piel…de cabra, perfectamente conservadas, que contenían muchas hojas de papiro, encuadernadas en forma de libro o códice y escritas en copto, una lengua desconocida para aquéllos. Las peripecias de aquellos códices fueron muchas desde su hallazgo a su peregrinación sigilosa y clandestina en búsqueda de comprador. Entre los textos hallados en las inmediaciones de Nag Hammadi figura el Evangelio de Felipe, un largo centenar de proverbios, parábolas y sentencias con algunos dichos del Señor. La versión española y comentario de este evangelio apócrifo puede servir de introducción a la lectura de los textos de Nag hammadi, a la espera de poder ofrecer a nuestros lectores un día no lejano la edición crítica de todos los documentos hallados, en cuya preparación trabaja ya un equipo de profesores para Ediciones El Almendro. *** Nota: Los envíos a España peninsular, Baleares y Canarias se realizan a través de mensajería urgente.
