When Mama Oma went to Kokosi village market to sell her goods, she gave her two children Omaledo and Nwugo a small tuber of yam and snails to roast for their lunch. She told them to roast the yam first before the snails and not to leave the house until she returned. When preparing their lunch, Nwugo contrary to their mother's instructions roasted the snails first which put out the fire. Omaledo, driven by hunger disobeyed their mother and left the house to go and get live charcoal which they will use to roast the yam. She went to a nearby village called Alanmuo, where it was rumored that evil spirits, witches, witch doctors and wicked juju priests reside. After Omaledo collected the live charcoal, on her way back, she was confronted by a spirit called Dibia Ayakaya who made her blind. When Mama Oma returned from the village market and was told that Omaledo had left the house and had not returned, she went in search of Omaledo and found her sitting under a tree in Kokosi village crying. Omaledo narrated her ordeal to her mother and told her that she had been made blind by Dibia Ayakaya. On seeing her daughter's condition, Mama Oma decided to take Omaledo back to Alanmuo village to look for Dibia Ayakaya and beg him to forgive Omaledo and give her back her sight. What dangers did Mama Oma encounter while trying to help her daughter Omaledo? Why did Dibia Ayakaya make Omaledo blind? Did Mama Oma and blind Omaledo succeed in returning to their village alive? Did Dibia Ayakaya forgive Omaledo and give her back her sight or has she been made permanently blind? Find out in this compelling and intriguing story of Disobedient Omaledo 1 DISOBEDIENT OMALEDO 2 Omaledo is still blind after seeing Dibia Ayakaya in Alanmuo village.
