At this rate the temperature will fall by another 0.34 degrees between now and 2050. Interestingly, both these statements are true (I will show you the data in Chapter 3). But neither is truthful. Both statements are taken very much out of context. The authors have "cherry picked" data to support the point they want to make. At best, this is irresponsible, but at worst it is intentionally deceptive. (Note 1) So what is the truth? Where is the data and is it reliable? What does the data say and not say?
