Along my journey, other pieces were written, either from prompts or for forms, or just from the heart, that did not fit into either theme or genre, and I realized that those pieces needed a home as they too are part of me. I am a grieving mom, but I am also so many other things. My grief does not define me. This collection explores various themes, the role of poetry in my life, pain and transformation, enlightenment and the mystical, vulnerability, sexuality, romance and marriage, nostalgia and innocence, melancholy and mortality, and of course, smatterings of grief and nature - a glimpse into the other pieces of me.
