Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. Communion is a sacred aspect of our worship. Christians all over the globe speaking diverse languages and worshipping in all types of settings come to the table of Christ to be filled. This weekly act of worship is a tradition handed down from the early church (Acts 20:7). And while most Christians acknowledge its importance, it can become stale, dull, and routine. This book is an effort to help Christians and churches commune with greater freshness-to quicken our spirits and deepen our hearts in renewed gratitude for the Supper. We come to the table to remember, and we leave changed. It is weekly because we need it weekly. We need the reminder. We need to express gratitude and proclaim our faith until He comes. The book contains 53 short reflections on communion. Intended to be used by worshippers during communion to enrich their worship. Each reflection includes Scriptures for meditation. It also serves as a resource for worship leaders seeking inspiration to share as they lead their church in partaking of the Lord's Supper. Endorsements for At His TableDavid Shannon; Freed-Hardeman University President"This do in remembrance of me" is one of the vital commands regarding our faith and worship. Yet most of us have never read a resource beyond scripture to better equip us for this treasured moment. The Ketchums provide an excellent tool in At His Table that will richly bless your remembrance from the first meditation to the 53rd! Dr. Kyle Butt; Author, Apologist, and Speaker with Apologetics PressJosh and Austin have invited us to the Lord's Table and opened up new insights for those seeking greater connection with the Lord and His Church. The reader is given a glimpse into the glory, agony, atonement, sacrifice, joy, victory, and celebration of the Lord's Supper. But theirs is not a call to cast a passing glance at a historic event. Instead, they admonish the reader to "remember the past with an incentive for present action!" Dale Jenkins; Author, Preacher, and Co-founder of The Jenkins Institute"The father-son team of Josh and Austin have given the church a rich gift in At His Table. This devotional guide will help every Christian focus more fully on the Lord and His great memorial. I would encourage every congregation to place a copy in each pew and supply one for each person. These reflections are brief yet deeply spiritual, simple yet profound. They have blessed my life, and I am confident they will bless yours as well." Chris McCurley; Minister with the Walnut Street Church of Christ in Dickson, TN. As part of their observance of the Lord's Supper, many congregations set aside a time for a gentleman to share a devotional thought in an effort to assist the church in focusing on the meaning and magnitude of Christ's sacrifice. This can be a rather daunting task for some, while others could simply use some guidance in formulating their thoughts. Josh and Austin Ketchum have provided a tremendous resource for those seeking direction in this area. Based in scripture, the Ketchums offer 53 reflections that can be used for communion meditation. I think you will find this book to be highly beneficial, and I highly recommend it to you and your congregation. This item is printed on demand.
