Besides this, the introduction of ¿Batik¿ and ¿Leather-work¿ in this country was the contribution of Rathindarnath Tagore . He imported maize, corn, clover, alfa-alfa, and potato and tomato seeds from abroad and introduced the same in ¿Santiniketan¿. Today¿s greenery of ¿Santiniketan¿ was introduced by Rabindranath but reaching its highest peak by Rathindranath Tagore. He succeeded to cultivate ¿Rose¿ in the barren land of ¿Santiniketan¿.
