Hence, proper and adequate RE data documentation and impact studies are important to see if it is actually worth prioritizing water resources for rural electrification and to see the actual benefits and drawbacks of existing isolated micro-hydro programs so that they can be improved in future.Field research was conducted in the Doti district which lies in the Far Western Region of Nepal. This particular research focuses on RE¿s impact on bringing livelihood transformation of rural population both socially and economically. The MHP with the capacity of 63kW is taken to study end-usage promotion as well as to assess their impact on livelihood of the region. For this, different measurable indicators developed by DFID was used to analyze livelihood in the selected projects sites.
