In the U.S., it was replaced by The Simpsons Ride. It is located atUniversal Studios Japan, formerly at Universal Studios Florida andUniversal Studios Hollywood. The ride story centers on a first-personadventure through time, in pursuit of the trilogy's villain, BiffTannen. The ride was produced by the original executive producer of thetrilogy, Steven Spielberg. The original attraction opened on May 21991, at Universal Studios Florida. Back To The Future The Ride alsoopened on June 2, 1993 at Universal Studios Hollywood and on March 312001 at Universal Studios Japan. The ride was actually planned to openin Orlando and Hollywood at the same time but due to foundationproblems, the Hollywood version opened 2 years later.
