Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Despite numerous ecological studies on the macro-benthic invertebrates of the Egyptian Nile River and its tributaries, there is a lack of comprehensive catalogues that categorize species according to a phylogenetic scheme. This catalogue aims to address this gap by providing a comprehensive inventory and full redescription of various macro-benthic invertebrate species recorded in the main channel of the Egyptian Nile River, covering an area of 740 km from Esna in the south to El-Qanatir Al-Khayriyyah in the north. The catalogue records a total of 54 taxa, indicating a relatively high diversity of macro-benthic fauna. Among these, seven species are considered new records for the main channel of the Egyptian Nile River. The documentation of macro-benthic invertebrates is essential for understanding the biodiversity and ecological health of the Nile River. The catalogue includes detailed remarks on these invertebrates to facilitate species discrimination and provides information on their habitats and distribution patterns along different sections of the river. This catalogue serves as a valuable resource for policymakers engaged in the conservation and management of the Nile River. 140 pp. Englisch.…
