Angesichts epochaler Herausforderungen (z.B. die Migration aus Afrika) bei einem gleichzeitig wachsenden Glaubwürdigkeitsdefizit entfremdet es die politische Ebene noch mehr von den Bürgern, wenn 'Europa-Events' inszeniert werden, ohne die Bürgergesellschaften politisch ernst zu nehmen.
