The occupational medicine literature highlights the negative health effects associated with the exposure of agricultural workers to pesticides (Hanke and Jurewicz, 2004). The researcher regarded it important to consider various health and safety enablers and how these measures can be managed effectively as strategy in disaster risk reduction.
