More significantly, it echoes the original and inspiring contribution he made to many debates, both as the professor of philosophy of law and contemporary philosophy at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), and as the professor of philosophy of medicine at the Free University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). A short glance at the contents of this volume will suffice to assess that this echo is worldwide and diverse.
