However, its contribution to livelihood development as well as local economic development has received minimal research focus in the Ghanaian context. Survey research design was adopted. A total of 160 respondents were selected from 2000 households at 5% margin of error and 95% significant level. Face-to-face interview was granted to each of the respondents.
