Organ's work is rooted in the longstanding tradition of Western painting, which he views as a medium capable of continuous renewal. His artistic process seeks to achieve a unique vision of reality, intertwining the visual aspect of objects with their intrinsic pictorial significance, borne from navigating life's contradictions and uncertainties.Over a span of fifty years, Organ has documented his experiences through art. His canvases portray the landscapes of his life, including the westcountry valley where he resides, Weston-super-Mare from his childhood, and the Dorset coastline, where he captures the interplay of light on water. His travels to France have inspired further landscape pieces and 'conversation pieces' featuring summer scenes from the beaches of Cannes, alongside depictions of local musicians. A residency at Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum resulted in a collection highlighting the museum's people and artefacts, as well as a series dedicated to the wildlife park's birds and animals.A notable aspect of Organ's work is his exploration of old age, showcased through compassionate portrayals of nursing home residents. These vibrant paintings reveal both humanity and a sense of hope. Alongside these genre scenes, Organ has depicted numerous portraits of friends and family, and he frequently incorporates still life motifs, featuring expansive table compositions that reflect his reading and collected objects, providing insight into his personal life and intellectual pursuits.
