Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - Quantum computing is the next computational gold rush, and it's coming sooner than you think. The QUANTUM DESIGN SPRINT WORKBOOK is your guide to start exploring the vast and undiscovered territories of the quantum computing revolution. Over the next few years, we can look forward to something more than the standard computational changes we've experienced for decades, which were driven by the slow and steady decline in the cost-to-performance ratio of computing and communications technology. The future, however, holds a surprise for us. it won't be just the 'doubling of compute power every year' kind of change to which we have become accustomed, but the addition of something new: discontinuous and exponential change via quantum computing. If IBM, Google, Microsoft, D-Wave and other tech titans are right, then we need to speed up and absorb the impact of this deep and pervasive technological change that is rapidly approaching. As quantum computers become more fault tolerant, we as a species, will increase computing speed by a million times or more. In one experiment, a single quantum computer solving an optimization problem bested 1.2 million computers at Google by a factor of 100. That's 100,000,000 faster, which is a lot more than doubling! The goal of this book is to help you perform a quantum risk assessment, and learn how to do 'quantum thinking' in order to expand your business model to not only mitigate those risks, but to take a leadership role in guiding your company into the quantum age.The consequences of quantum computing will be massive and fundamental, and for any organization to succeed in this brave new quantum computing-powered world, it will require an entirely new approach to truly adapt and innovate. …
