Emilee, however, didn't mind the slow pace, and spent as much time gardening and walking in the woods behind her house as she could. Back to nature was what it was all about. She loved the woods; trees, water and animals.Emilee wasn't married and figured it would not happen in her life time. She had someone in her life a long time ago. They were together for 10 years and then he left her. He left her without much of an explanation, and then she was alone. One day as Emilee headed to work, she saw faces in the big old tree outside her house. It was a gnarly old tree, all twisted and scarred. (Use your imagination enough and you could see faces too.) She shook off the uneasiness that she felt and continued on to work as the faces disappeared. While Emilee was busy working, she heard someone say, "Emilee, it's time to come home." She looked all around and saw no one. Was she losing her mind, she wondered. Faces in the trees and voices calling her home? This is the beginning of an adventure that will take Emilee out of her dull, slow, simple life and toss her into the world of fairytales, fables, myths and legends. Emilee found out that maybe, just maybe, fairytales and legends aren't just made up stories. Maybe they are real and she has a connection to them.
