Añadir al carritoExhibition Catalogue. Condición: Good Plus to Very Good. The Whitney Museum of American Art, founded in NYC in 1932, focuses on 20th and 21st Century Art. Every two years, beginning in 1973, it holds an exhibition of contemporary art by younger and relatively unknown artists. This is the catalogue for the 2002 exhibition featuring the work of 113 artists and collaborative teams, containing the largest collection of architecture, sound art, performance art and internet art presented in the biennial up to then. First edition, first printing. About 8 x 10 1/4 inches, 292 pages in heavy card covers with Meredith Monk's 2000 "Score of Eclipse Variations" and with red CD containing soundworks by 13 artists attached to center of front cover. The back cover lists artists in black and white lettering against red background with a square, 4 3/4 inch booklet on the inside back cover listing the artists with works on the front cover CD. The catalogue contains 139 color illustrations as well as artist biographies and list of works in the exhibition. No dustjacket as issued. Boards and text are complete (with CD & booklet), clean and unmarked. There are no significant flaws or damage, though there is some minor surface and edgewear as previous owner actively utilized it as a reference work, a job it can still fulfill for future owners as well.
