Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: As New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: As New. 1st Edition. LIKE NEW. Clean/unmarked text. Square/soliding binding. No flaws. Dust jacket in new, protective Mylar. . Carefully packed (heavy books will be double boxed) and shipped same day if purchased by 12 Noon EST, to arrive to USA customers in 2-5 business days. 128 illustrations including 100 plates in full color. Wolf Kahn presents an overview of the artist's life and prolific career. Staring with the young Kahn's early years as a drawing prodigy, the author, Justin Spring, continues with the artist's study with Hans Hofmann, his early success as a latter-day Expressionist. and his early success as a painter of austere atonalist canvases, finally leading to the brilliant, high-keyed landscapes that have established hi reputation. In the author's words this remarkable artist's life has been, "notwithstanding its monumental early tragedies, a peripatetic and ultimately joyful one, which reads, despite many years' hard work . like a modern-day adventure story.".
