Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - 'Staying true to his previous work of giving voice to our innermost thoughts, Cynical Rhymes and Lullabies forces the reader to realize that none of us are immune to the necessity of identifying our vulnerabilities. Shining light onto our own experiences, thoughts, and secrets, David Synn paints pictures with his poems that create a graffiti mural of necessary truths and the human desire to mask our cynicism and dress it up as something else entirely. Not afraid to cut open the scarred covering over his incredible heart, David proves that we are all more similar than we would like to admit.'- Brandi Good 'David Synn's Cynical Rhymes and Lullabies is a mirror of our regrets, and a blueprint for improved human communication. His vivid, sometimes shocking imagery is brave, honest, and well written. He has tasted the hot blood spilled, seen the flash of a knife blade, and heard the bone cracking. He forgives all transgressions, and after sleepless nights, found personal peace. He is especially poignant in his tributes to Missy when writing about the night he met his love and later marrying his love and best friend. His wisely cynical verses and lyrical lullabies inspire me to reread and aspire to be a better person.' - Nancy Belle. Stackpole, Sharon Lyn (ilustrador). …
