Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Enlarged edition with a new epilogue. Introduction by Brooks Atkinson Tall octavo. xx, 990pp. Illustrated with plates. About fine in price-clipped very good or better dust jacket. Nicely Inscribed to Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes: "For Marian, who is one of the theater's great treasures with admiration and affection, Barbara / Arthur. New York: May, 1986." (The Inscription is in Barbara Gelb's hand and Arthur has signed his name.) Laid in is a very nice two-page Autograph Letter Signed to Seldes from actress and Eugene O'neill's third and final wife, Carlotta (Monterey) O'Neill. Written on her "C. M. O'Neill" Madison Avenue stationery, she thanks Seldes for sending along clippings regarding *Mourning Becomes Electra*: "They even mention his name nowwhich rather amuses me. Having been brought up in England (and my first husband a Britisher) I understand their reaction so well. So it goes!" A brief catch-up follows and she closes the letter "My love to you Carlotta. Jan 24, 1962." Also laid in is a large collection of clippings regarding the O'Neills (Seldes did this often in her books), as well as an Autograph Note Signed from co-author Barbara Gelb to Seldes' husband Garson Kanin. A nice association.
