Paperback. Condición: Good. The hidden cost of clutter in our lives.Whether physical, emotional, or possessional, clutter takes up space in our psyches and calendars that we can reallocate towards living a more creative, energetic, and fulfilling life. While the idea of decluttering and downsizing appeals to many of us, it remains an elusive goal. Marie Kondo is credited with creating a movement around the 'Life-Changing Magic' of decluttering.Clear the Space, Feel the Rush expands far beyond Kondo's work. Author Connie Lockhart Ellefson shows how decluttering can be accomplished not only with our belongings (our stuff), but with our thoughts and emotions, and our bodies, as well.Connie shares how her 'decluttering' journey ultimately led to a life of enthusiasm, enjoyment, and lightness. She discovered you can approach decluttering from any of several directions, not just your possessions. Progress in one area positively impacts the others, and the resulting rush of energy not only allows the real you to emerge but has exhilarating effects on your mental and physical health.Reviews Connie has been the most productive person I know She always has an answer for any question regarding the processes of organizing, planning, and effective solutions for personal health. I'm glad that she has decided to share with us all. This book is the culmination of Connie's wisdom in dealing with this often confusing and scattered world and our place in it Robin Korn, Professional Organizer, Certified Senior Advisor, Space Wranglers, LLCNever would I have thought that reading a book about decluttering could be fun. However, Connie magically makes it so. No judgements, no hard fast rules. Just honest, self pacing advice that puts a smile on my face every time I turn a page. Heartfelt, kind, sensitive, practical and useful are the written words on each page. It really makes you think about just how powerful you can be- if you allow yourself to be Thank you Connie for shedding light and love on more than just how to declutter your personal space but also for being a wonderful guide in helping the reader achieve so much more Nancy Griffin, RealtorI love Connie's 'whole person' approach to decluttering. It is impossible for us to do better than our thinking will allow. So often people attempt to declutter by using will power and muscling through it. This approach seldom works and even when it does, it is usually not sustainable, because, the physical clutter is a side effect of the mental and emotional clutter. Connie's book helps people to address clutter on all levels, which greatly increases the odds for success and positive change. Jonathan Manske, author of The Law of Attraction Made SimpleExhilaration is waiting for us, and Clear the Space, Feel the Rush is the concise road map to get us there sooner rather than later The author wisely segmented this delightful book between decluttering the mind, body, and stuff so the reader can immediately address what is individually most pressing. Reading this insightful and informative book blossomed into the real life changes I have longed to realize Ronda Steinke-McDonald, Author of What the Soul Wants for Christmas, Open Yourself to Fresh Celebrations of the Holidays.and Life.…

Hardback. Condición: Good. In Turn and Burn the author takes the readers with him in the cockpit as he shares the fulfillment of his boyhood dream and some of his most memorable adventures and misadventures during a twenty-four year flying career as a fighter pilot, both in combat and peacetime. Share the author's emotions when being surrounded by enemy anti-aircraft flak, when having to crash land twice, during occasions when the aircraft's response was violent and uncontrollable, when having a large turkey buzzard crash through the windscreen into the cockpit when the aircraft was 200 feet off the ground and traveling nearly 600 mph, just to mention a few of those memorable occasions the author shares.Along the way, the readers are given vivid accounts of the joys and delights, the fears and terrors, the frustrations and fulfillments, the thrills, intensity, and humor involved in the fighter pilot's unique life, and the special and inseparable bond that exists in the fighter pilot community. The author's account is also deeply personal as he shares his opinion of the top leadership, both civilian and military, during the Vietnam War. His criticism is shared by the vast majority of those who fought in that war, and includes the leadership's lack of understanding of the enemy, a prime requisite when going to war, their lack of will to do what was necessary to win, a prime requisite when going to war, and worst of all, their unconscionable willingness to allow the U.S. military to suffer substantial losses in personnel and resources by fighting a war they were not allowed to win.The author's pride in being part of the fighter pilot community can be summed up by the final phrase of a poem about military aviators written by an unknown author that goes, Because we flew, we envy no man on earth.About the Author: Darrell Ahrens is a former U.S. Marine, Air Force fighter pilot and operations staff officer, high school teacher, and pastor. He holds degrees from Chapman University, Boston University, and Fuller Theological Seminary, as well as diplomas from the Armed Forces Staff College, the Air War College, and the National Defense University. …

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. This memoir is based on handwritten letters, cards, and newspaper clippings sent between Carole and Bill Wagener from September 1968 to August 1969. The vernacular is accurate to that time, using words that are no longer politically correct. The letters, based on actual events, may have been compressed. Please note there was a time lapse between these letters due to a lag in the mail. Some names and identifying characteristics were changed to protect privacy, and some dialogue was recreated. The remainder of the book is based on Carole and Bill's memories to the best of their recollection over time and their letters. Because this is a war story, some chapters are very graphic and may not suit those with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other trauma-related disorders. In addition, the book contains some offensive language and sexual references. Finally, there are several military terms, and various German, French, and Vietnamese phrases mentioned in this book. These terms are defined in the glossary and copious historical endnotes follow. The Hardest Year is not entirely composed of letters as Carole has taken some of her letters and turned them into narrative or dialogue. She seamlessly weaves her stories in with the letters to create a flow in the narrative, keeping the reader engaged through the final Epilogue which takes place in 2007 at anti-Iraq war demonstration.…
