Through poetic reflections and grounded metaphysics, author Kurt Glasgow reminds readers that separation is an illusion and unity is our true nature. Drawing from sacred texts and personal insight, this book weaves science, spirituality, and self-realization into one transformative message: we are not many seeking the divine - we are the divine remembering itself. A companion for seekers, dreamers, and teachers, Remembering Oneness offers practices, meditations, and reflection prompts designed to restore harmony between self, source, and creation. Where Our Stories Meet is a beautifully illustrated children's picture book that celebrates the transformative power of empathy, curiosity, and global connection.Co-authored by 16-year-old Alizae from California and 14-year-old Thando from Kliptown, South Africa, this narrative draws from real-life experiences to bridge two seemingly different worlds. The story follows Daisy and Khulisa as they explore each other's lives through letters and shared curiosity. As they wonder about the simple rhythms of school, family, and play, their initial curiosity blossoms into a deep, cross-cultural friendship. When Daisy travels from California to South Africa, the two finally meet in person, discovering that while their worlds look different, their hearts speak the same language. In a world that often highlights division, this story serves as a gentle reminder that we are more alike than different. It invites young readers (ages 6-12) to approach the world with an open heart, welcoming others and celebrating differences as a bridge to connection.A Mission-Driven Project with Global ImpactThis book is more than just a story; it is a vehicle for social change. Operating on a Buy One, Give One model, every purchase helps place a free copy into the hands of a child in South Africa. Furthermore, all proceeds support the Kliptown Youth Program (KYP) in honor of the legacy of Thando Bezana.Ideal for families, educators, and libraries, Where Our Stories Meet asks a powerful question: What happens when children from different cultures and races come together to learn, play, and dream as one? The answer is a heartwarming journey of discovery that proves meaningful connection only requires a willingness to learn from one another. Where Our Stories Meet is a beautifully illustrated picture book about two children from California and South Africa who connect through letters and friendship, discovering that curiosity, empathy, and kindness can bridge worlds. Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: new. Paperback. WHERE DO OUR LETTERS COME FROM?The Accountant, the King, the Priest, and the Poet traces the extraordinary 5,000-year journey of the Latin alphabet-from the clay tablets of Sumer to the pages of modern design. Through twenty-six artifacts, Colleen Comerford explores how writing systems evolved, adapted, and spread across cultures, shaped by trade, religion, conquest, and creativity.Blending design, history, and storytelling, this book offers students, educators, and curious readers a visually rich introduction to the roots of written communication. It offers a broad and concise historical overview of where, when, why, how, and by whom the alphabet developed. Intended especially for students of design, it provides historical context for design decisions and connects past letterforms to contemporary visual communication. This is more than a history of letters-it is a tribute to the inventors, translators, and everyday people who shaped the most widely used alphabetic system in the world. By exploring how ancient ideas continue to influence the present, it invites readers to see the alphabet not just as a set of characters, but as a living legacy of human creativity.Colleen Comerford earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, studied visual communication in Paris at the Parsons School of Design, and earned her MFA from the University of Massachusetts. She has worked professionally as a graphic designer and illustrator. She has taught at the Mass College of Art + Design, Simmons University, and spent four years in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, teaching at Dar Al Hekma University. She is the author of ABCing: Seeing the Alphabet Differently. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Le Gallienne (1866-1947) was a prolific English writer and poet. He moved from England to the United States at the turn of the century and spent most of the rest of his life here. This poem first appeared in "Success Magazine", the November, 1907 issue. Then, in his book "The Lonely Dancer and Other Poems, published by John Lane in 1913. The reference to Maurice Maeterlinck, a playwright and contemporary of Le Gallienne, "sought to stage Emersonâs concept of the 'over-soul' in his development of static theatre" (Katherine Biers in "Modern Drama", v.56, no.4).
