Alla fine pero i tre, in modo sorprendente, finiranno per scoprire il vero colpevole dell'attentato, consegnarlo alla giustizia, beffare la polizia e guadagnare un mucchio di dollari.La Beffa e un romanzo paradossale dove l'intento principe e quello di divertire e sorprendere il lettore anche se fra le righe non mancano riflessioni leggermente piu profonde e amare.Onestamente pero la motivazione che mi ha spinto a scriverlo e stata quella di "sfogarmi" durante questo ultimo anno dove sono piombato, mio malgrado, in una allucinante bega fra condomini e dove ho assistito a scene che hanno messo a dura prova l'idea che si possa vivere insieme civilmente. Come diceva Zamjatin per sopravvivere alle tragedie della vita ci sono solo due strade: la religione e l'ironia. Io ho percorso la seconda.
