Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 1st Edition. This book presents an interesting and intriguing take on the art history of India, as mentioned in its opening introduction, to wit: "Marg offers some glimpses of Wonder and Beauty from the Indian heritage--only glimpses because, as is by now acknowledged, there can be no formal art history, with exact dates about the artefacts of our civilization through the absence of the historic sense in our past"!! I can only wonder if art historians in India today would agree with that statement. Or perhaps, what is being presented in this book is unique enough but without good documentation? Please see the photo of the Table of Contents for your further information. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket has some blemishes on both covers and small tears on the rear cover. There are some very light traces of foxing along the upper quadrants of both the front and rear hard covers, nothing extreme and actually, barely noticeable. Inside, the book is unmarked except for the stamp of a bookseller on the front endpaper (the Oxford Book Store). The fold-out presentation of the Krishna Lila are not well designed as the edge rub against the edges of the tipped-in plates. The interior pages and plates (of which there are many) are clean and bright, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Many (ilustrador).…
