Vintage black-and-white candid still photograph from the 1951 UK film. Features David Niven with the Dame of Sark, Sibyl Mary Hathaway, on the shores of the Channel Islands. Hathaway was Seigneur of the Channel Islands when the Germans invaded (1940-1945). Based on Jerrard Tickell's 1951 novel, about British soldiers during WWII on the Channel Islands, attempting to save a prized cow from the capture of the Nazis. 8 x 10 inches. Some toning, with an ink notation on the verso, else Near Fine.

By 1990 because of demand they decoded to begin issuing video cassette lists. This is their first list, basically an alphabetical list of videos for sale in June 1990. 11" high X 8" wide, about 30 pages. This book will be securely packed and shipped with tracking.

The entirety of this issue is devoted to a story called "Brakhage" by Dan Clark, an experimental fiction in which an invented "critic" analyzes 28 actual Brakhage films (beginning with Interim in 1952 and ending with "The Art of Vision" in 1964) in exhaustive detail, revealing via minutiae both the character of Brakhage and the critic. While the author emphasizes in his introduction that the entire effort is "imaginary," it is in fact one of the earliest and most thorough analyses of Brakhage's work." Scarce.

Fairly inevitable crease to the spine, which is a touch faded (not affecting legibility), but Very Good overall with moderate wear else, slightly rubbed, the upper wrapper a little grazed, and the fore edge with a faint patch of soiling.

Poster and flyer for Spectro-Mach, a multimedia performance by Don Snyder with Angus MacLise, Ralph Metzner, Allen Neff, Diane Rebuff and - uncredited on this poster - John Cale. The performance consisted of the minimalist drone compositions of MacLise and Cale along with psychedelic visual projections. Performances took place on December 7 and December 12, 1965 (just after MacLise's first departure from the Velvet Underground) at the Film-makers' Cinematheque. Don Snyder was a photographer, poet, and printer best known for his documentation of communes and alternative modes of living in the book Aquarian Odyssey. He was a prominent member of the downtown scene, and friend and collaborator to Ira Cohen, Gerard Malanga, Ralph Metzner, John Cale, and others. Offset. 9 ¼ x 14 ¼ in. Very good.

At the time he was trying to secure the print of his film 'Serenity' from errant producers, and 'Twice a Man' was soon to be released. The usual toning to the stock and, in part, to the front cover, which is a little rubbed with a couple of minor nicks, but Very Good all things considered. Signed by Author(s).
