Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Fine. 1st Edition. 96 pages, softcover, 8" by 8". Introduction in English, French, and Czech. Outstanding book by contemporary Czech photographer Peter Zupnik, a somber photo essay on Prague at night, taken in the early 80's when the city was still under Communist rule. The images carry an atmosphere of decay and alienation, focusing on splattered surfaces, lonely and drunk wanderers. somber windowscapes, hidden corners and banal topographies, with echoes of Daido Moriyama at times. Finely printed with 65 full-page plates of great presence. Standout work, virtually unknown and one of my favorite photo books - perfectly formed and sequenced. Very scarce - OCLC shows only TWO copies in American institutions. In excellent condition save for light crease to bottom right corner.
