His book, The Falling Sickness, a study of views on epilepsy through the ages, has achieved wide renown. A fierce attack on Snow's 'Two Cultures' concept with reprinting of Yudkin's which also attacks Snow from a different direction (and with perhaps a trifle less ferocity!). A crucial document for anyone interested in this early 1960s intellectual spat.
