Inscribed and signed by both La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela at performance in New York City in 1997 on the leaf opposite the title page: "To Chris Dark / With sustained harmonic relationships / La Monte Young / Marian Zazeela / 97 11 / NYC." La Monte Young is one of the most influential avant garde composers of the modernist era, primarily as one of the originators of minimalist drone music. This copy is from the library of artist Michael Snow and has a torn illustration of his Walking Woman affixed to the inside front cover; perhaps he was trying to insert himself into Fluxus; or perhaps it's simply like a bookplate.
