Zustand: Hervorragend | Seiten: 324 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | The Yangtze River is the mother river of Chinese civilization, and Yangtze River Economic Belt became China's national strategy in 2013, emphasizing ecological priority and green sustainable development. Ever since, the research on the green transformation and development of Yangtze River Economic Belt has boomed at home and abroad. Yet, there was little systematic research on the green development of the tributaries of the Yangtze River. As the largest tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the Jialing River's eco-environmental governance is crucial for the construction of Yangtze River Economic Belt as a pioneer demonstration belt of China's ecological civilization. So, this book introduces the discourses of state leaders on eco-environmental construction, reviews the existing mechanisms of coordinated eco-environmental governance in river basins in China, and summarizes the achievements of coordinated eco-environmental governance in Yangtze River Economic Belt. Then, it studies Jialing River Basin's coordinated eco-environmental governance measures, ecological industrialization, industrial ecologization development, environment-economy-society coupling development, ecological pressure and etc. Additionally, this book compares the coordinated eco-environmental governance of the Wujiang River Basin, another tributary of the Yangtze River, and the Thames Basin in the UK. On this basis, a networked eco-environmental governance mode and implementation path in the Jialing River Basin are proposed.
