Edited by the first chairman of steering committee of the Reich Veteran's Day. Contains a three-page contribution on the commemorative event, probably by Max Wittrisch, and a poem in five stanzas by Fred Sondermann at rear. Illustrated with numerous photographs of the parade and one reproduction of a drawing by Rudolf Lipus, depicting the performance of "Heldenehrung (Tribute to Heroes)" by Otto Riebicke and a b/w photograph of the performance itself. The photographs include various parts of the parade, including the consecration of the flag of the Saarland, various military and warrior associations, an infantry squad from the time of the Seven-Year-War, the 2. Ulanen-Regiment, two photographs featuring a multitude of flags representing participating organizations, among others. Text in German, Gothic script. Wraps with minor staining and foxing along bottom and lower foredge, and slightly rubbed. Light damage due to water exposure at bottom near gutter throughout. Wraps and interior in overall goo to very good condition.
