Endpapers are lightly tanned with an inscription on the FFE "To my young Rankin friends from rebel Withers A story written by my oldest sister about her four little Withers sisters and one brother. I am named Maggin in the story my brother Will is Jack." The 106 pages are clean but are lightly tanned/soiled at edges.

The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.
