Published in 1951 during the Festival of Britain and with a forward by the Prime Minister Clement Attlee this i#58/100 copies on fine paper and has been signed by the author below that limitation. It is in very sharp clean condition with a good white text block showing a little opening to the interior spine in places but otherwise very little sign of its age. Very little discolouration or foxing and lovely green half leather binding over white buckram boards. There is just a touch of rubbing to the board outer corners but the exterior has been well protected by a plastic protector which has acted like a very good dustjacket. Signed by Author(s).

Only one flaw: coating to cloth boards is mostly rubbed off, especially on front cover, leaving a mottled appearance. Only trivial additional signs of age/wear/previous use.
