A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1941, small quarto (6" x 9.5") has sturdy wooden boards decorated with a painted image of 3 mix masters to front, held together with 2 gold-colored metal clasps & a rawhide tie through drilled holes. Condition is Near Fine: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages off-white & unmarked, though tanned; pages 58-59 show offsetting from newspaper clipping laid in. Front tissue guard intact. Dye from wood has bled onto endpapers. with tanning., corners crisp. The DJ is , with rubbing to extremities, chips, unclosed tears; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
