Hardcover. Condición: Very Good+. First Edition. B&W Etchings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 403 pages; 1856 Derby & Jackson HC 1st edition in book form. Author unattributed, referred to in Neal's introductions as Mrs. W___________. Lovely copy in original green cloth with elaborate blind stamped borders and designs to covers and gilt garlanded titles to spine with a small cameo portrait of "the widow" at the crown of spine. Square and snug; original yellow endsheets. Publishers 4 pp catalog of ads at rear. Page stock bright and supple. Wood cut plates toning just slightly.
