Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: As New. Previous Owner Bookplate. The background of the case against Bruno Richard Hauptmann in the kidnapping and murder of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr., and the daily proceedings in Hunterdon Co., N.J. Court of Oyer and Terminer from Jan. 2 through Feb. 13, 1935. "When the child of world-famous aviator Charles Lindbergh (Cliff De Young) is kidnapped from his New Jersey home, speculation about who took him and why grips the entire nation. During the subsequent investigation, the child is found murdered, and a German carpenter named Bruno Hauptmann (Anthony Hopkins) emerges as the primary suspect. The media buzz surrounding the trial is enormous, and while the facts seem to be against Hauptmann, the wild theories nevertheless continue to proliferate.".

This is a Fine Binding with gilt designs and lettering, gilt on all edges, five raised ridges on spine, marbled endpapers, special premium text paper, satin bookmark, 565 pages. Else, this Special Edition book is in Like New condition. Never read. Collector purchased book new and kept in a temperature-controlled room; there are no smoke smells from cigarettes or cigars. This is an excellent overview of Bruno Richard Hauptmann who was convicted in 1935 of the kidnap-murder of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr. - the 20-month-old son of America's beloved couple. The murdered baby's father was Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh, who captured the imagination of the world by flying solo across the Atlantic. His marriage to Anne Morrow, daughter of a popular politician, approximated a royal wedding. The execution of Hauptmann is frequently cited as an instance of the capital punishment of an innocent defendant, according to famed Alan M. Dershowitz. Very collectible Fine Binding book.
