Otherwise unmarked.Catalog of the tenth and final exhibition at the Wiesbaden Central Collecting Point, held in the summer of 1949 at the Landesmuseum Wiesbaden. The exhibition presented 202 paintings from the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum and the Nationalgalerie in Berlin, including ninety-seven works newly returned from the United States where they had been kept for safekeeping during and after the Second World War. Catalog edited by Dr. Clemens Weiler (Städtische Gemäldegalerie, Wiesbaden), with a preface by James R. Newman (Director, OMGH) and an introduction by Theodore Allen Heinrich (Chief, Museums Section, Education and Cultural Relations Division, OMGUS). All catalog entries presented in parallel English and German. Printed by Rud. Bechtold & Comp., Wiesbaden. Catalogued works include paintings by Albrecht Altdorfer, Fra Angelico, Antonello da Messina, Sandro Botticelli, Pieter Brueghel the Elder, Jean Fouquet, Hans Holbein, Pieter de Hooch, Georges de La Tour, Lucas van Leyden, Fra Filippo Lippi, Pietro Lorenzetti, Rembrandt van Rijn, Titian, Antoine Watteau, Diego Velázquez, Andrea del Verrocchio, Jan Vermeer, Roger van der Weyden, and many others. The thirty-one black-and-white plates illustrate selected works, among them Brueghel's Netherlandish Proverbs, Rembrandt's Portrait of Hendrickje Stoffels, the left wing of Fouquet's Melun Diptych, Botticelli's Giuliano de' Medici, and Titian's Portrait of a Daughter of Roberto Strozzi.
