This is a most useful reprint (in 2 volumes) of 33 bookseller's catalogues issued by Ernst Weil, together describing over 8,500 works (including many rarities) in the fields of science and medicine. The inclusion of a new comprehensive author-title index, which runs to some 287 pages, makes this reprint more useful than a set of the original catalogues, which would in any case be extremely difficult to put together. Weil was respected as one of the most scholarly of post-war booksellers - his bibliography of Albert Einstein remains sought-after - and the catalogues are valuable reference tools for anyone collecting or dealing in his fields.
