Añadir al carritoHardbound. Condición: Good. Description: This is an annual, for the year 1924, at the Citizens' Military Training Camp at Del Monte, California. Numerous individual portrait illustrations, group photos, some cartoon drawings, and six full page drawings by Jo Mora [Joseph Jacinto Mora (1876-1947)]. Mora was the art editor for this volume, and some of the cartoons are also his, as well as several smaller drawings. The editorial credit at the front spells his name wrong, giving it as Jo Moro. These training camps were programs that operated during the summer, offering military training to young men without requiring that they call-up for active duty. These camps grew out of the Plattsburg Movement, and twelve camps were held in 1916. This was missed by Jeff Dykes in 50 Great Western Illustrators. BINDING/CONDITION: navy blue cloth with gilt; the entire book is printed on lightly coated stock, yielding clear crisp text and illustrations, but you have to be careful with this sort of paper and don't touch with damp fingers. It looks as if a bit of moisture was trapped between two pages, resulting in a surface loss on each facing page over an area about the size of a fifty-cent piece; otherwise Very Good condition. Dark blue endpapers. about 10.75 inches tall by 7.75 inches wide. 146, XIII pages.
