A Lovely Presentation, white coloured buckram decorated with blue square line, gilt coloured shield on front of book ,title on spine in gilt lettering, top edge also gilded.(The author was a master at Harrow and father of Sylvia Townsend Warner). Cloth has a minor degree of extremity rubs, light corner bumps, light nudge at head of spine; internally is virtually fine, rough edged pages clean, tissue guarded plates vibrant. 25 plates in colour reproduced from Sketches by Arthur Garratt, and from Portraits in the Vaughan Library and in the National Portrait Gallery.
